Iano Tamar - Soprano

Considered one of the best voices of dramatic soprano, she has collaborated with conductors such as Riccardo Muti and Gianandrea Gavazzeni. Among the most successful performances it is worth mentioning: Elisabetta di Valois in Don Carlos at the Staatsoper in Vienna, Rachel in La Juive at the Fenice in Venice, Tosca at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Leonora in Il Trovatore at the Bregenz Festival, Leonora in La Forza del Destino at the Bayerische Staatsoper. Besides the great dramatic roles of the nineteenth century, Iano Tamar is an interpreter of Mozart's characters like Electra, Fiordiligi and Contessa d’Almaviva. Mrs Tamar recently performed Il Trovatore in Athens; Macbeth at the Opéra in Lyon; Nabucco in Antwerp; Don Carlo in Vienna; Lucio Silla in Barcelona. Finnish bass Petri Lindroos made his debut at the Oper Leipzing, where in 2003-05 he appeared as Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), Leporello (Don Giovanni), Filippo II (Don Carlo), Méphistofélès (La damnation de Faust), Colline (La Bohème) and Sparafucile (Rigoletto). Mr. Lindroos starred as Commendatore (Don Giovanni) at the Festival de Radio France in Montpellier and as Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) at the Opera Montpellier in 2008. In 2009, he made his debut at La Scala in Milan as Filippo II and Un frate in Don Carlo under the baton of Daniele Gatti and in 2009 as Sarastro at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Other engagements include: Don Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) in Oslo; Filippo II (Don Carlo) at the Ravenna Opera Festival; Jason in the world premiere of Rolf Liebermann’s Medea at the Bastille Opera in Paris; Méphistofélès in Gounod’s Faust at the Savonlinna Opera Festival; Pimen (Boris Godunov) at the Finnish National Opera; Leporello with the Théâtre de La Monnaie on tour in Tokyo, a series of Verdi’s Requiem (Westminster Cathedral, Verdi Festival in Parma with Riccardo Muti) and a tour with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester singing Berlioz’s Messe Solennelle again under the baton of Muti. Petri Lindroos has appeared as soloist with many orchestras such as Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Finnish National Opera and at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, with choirs in all Scandinavian countries as well as in central Europe (Orchestra e Coro Giuseppe Verdi, Milan among others) and in Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg in Bach’s Weihnachts-Oratorium under the baton of Helmut Rilling). Mr. Lindroos recently appeared in Verdi’s Requiem with the Coro e Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana under Diego Fasolis, broadcasted by the Swiss TV. Recent engagements include: Reinmar (Tannhäuser) at La Scala under Zubin Mehta, Phanuel in Massenet’s Herodiade in Antwerpen and Fafner (Das Rheingold) at the Stockholm Royal Opera, a debut in Tampere (Reinmar in Tannhäuser) and productions of La Bohème, Aida and Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Oslo and Tristan und Isolde at The Danish National Opera, Macbeth in Cagliari, to mention a few. Among his future plans: Der Fliegende Hollaender in Wiesbaden, La Bohème in Oslo, Stiffelio (Jorg) in Bergen, and Verdi’s Requiem in Aalborg.
